CLIENT: Ski Basics

The brief
To create an ‘e-guide’ for the company's clients.

Background
Ski Basics is a British ski chalet rental business based in Méribel, France. Their clients, once 'in resort,' require specific information for their stay that is unique to their chosen chalet and its location. This includes the chalet rules, Wi-Fi access details, emergency contacts, local amenities, and so on.

To achieve this, I proposed creating a simple web-based application that is separate from the company website which provides information specific to their chalet and stay in Méribel. Aware that most people have a mobile device when they travel, clients are provided with a unique link to the 'e-guide' for their chosen accommodation once they've made a booking. They may also access it via a QR code that is available in their chalet upon arrival.

The screens below show the the design in situ in typical smartphone and tablet scenarios.

In this role, I was responsible for the following:

  • UI/UX design
  • Creative direction
  • Brand
  • Front-end development

Key software and technologies:
HTML5, CSS, and JS/jQuery using a Bootstrap framework. Adobe Photoshop, and Sketch (for presentation).
